Dream killers are put in place to kill your dreams of becoming successful, being happy, or living a better life. Dream killers are more often than not fear, negative people, and non-believers. You know the ones that have absolutely nothing positive to say or question your drive and goals just to try and shut them down. Yeah those dream killers! Life is too short to allow someone else’s fear to stop you from pursing your dreams.
There will be many road blocks on your journey to greatness, so do not allow a dream killer to be one. Seth Godin said, “Fear is the dream killer, the silent voice that pushes us to lose our passion in a vain attempt to see safety.” Fear is an obstacle that will stand in the way of your progress. Don’t let fear keep you from chasing your dreams. Also, overthinking is a dream killer. The only place where your dream will become impossible is in your own thinking. Sometimes you can drown yourself in your own thoughts. You will have to stop thinking at times and just go where your heart leads you.
When dealing with negative people or non-believers, keep your plans to yourself because they will not understand nor care. Life is too short to allow someone else’s fear or negative thoughts to stop you from pursing your dreams. The best way to deal with these people is don’t. There will be haters, doubters, non-believers, but then there should be you, proving them wrong.
It only takes one negative thought to kill a dream. Don’t allow your past situations or failures to kill any future dreams that you may have for yourself. Remember that! Don’t let a non-believer keep you from chasing your dreams. Let your success speak for itself. Actions always speak louder than words. Keep pushing, keep learning, and keep striving.
